Mel Olson

6th, 7th, and 8th Grade Spanish Acquisition

My name is Mel Olson and I am the 6th, 7th, and 8th grade Spanish Acquisition teacher here at Lincoln Middle School! I studied Spanish Education at the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse, where I studied abroad in Valparaíso, Chile. After graduating, I began my teaching career in my hometown of Green Bay, Wisconsin, before leaving to travel throughout Southeast Asia. I then taught in Madrid, Spain for one year and London, England for three years. My husband and I then moved to Fort Collins in 2024. After one year at another school in PSD, I found my way to Lincoln in 2025 and am so happy to be a part of the Lancer Community!
