World Languages At Lincoln
In following the IB model, all students at Lincoln are expected to enroll in a second language. At Lincoln, we are honored to offer Spanish language courses to advance multilingualism for both Spanish beginners as well as students who are already bi/multilingual.
Spanish Acquisition
Spanish Acquisition (the Spanish 1 Intro-A-B series) is designed for students who are new to Spanish or are early in their language learning journey. This course series offers an introduction to Spanish speaking cultures and communication in Spanish. We use a variety of engaging resources to support students in developing comprehension, speaking, reading and writing skills in Spanish and to build confidence as they progress toward a Novice Mid to Novice High proficiency level. Instructional methods focus on communication over rote memorization and grammar drills. Students will gain foundational language skills that prepare them for continued study and global engagement.
