Football

Lincoln Tackle Football

See the Football Welcome Letter on left side of the screen under Important Documents.

Football is typically a non-cut middle school sport open to 7th and 8th graders. Lincoln fields a Varsity and JV football team, so student-athletes of all abilities can try out.

Lincoln Football has a long history of great football players and teams since opening in 1922, 99 years ago! We are looking to continue to build on the tradition installed by those past Lincoln coaching icons like Coach Hal Kinard, Coach Andy Chismar, Coach Roger Alms, Coach Jorge Perez and so many other great coaches over time.
Currently, Head Coach  Gilbert Barraza  and his assistant coaches will continue to build on the tradition of Attitude, Commitment, and Effort (ACE) of those historic coaches that positively impacted generations of Lincoln Lancers!
Every player is important to the team at Lincoln Middle School!  Whether you are an experienced varsity player, or a “rookie”  who is new to the game, your role and position on the team is important and matters to the Lincoln Lancers!

Cross Country

Cross country is a co-ed sport open to all students in 6th-8th grade. Students with all running abilities are encouraged to join to improve their overall fitness level and running ability in a team focused, individual centered program. Incredibly supportive, it's a great social sport to get to know other students and staff as Lincoln.

More information on the 2024 Cross Country season is in this link: Lincoln Cross Country 2024

There is one meet per week during the regular season. Races are 2 miles long at the middle school level. Athletes are responsible for completing the school work they miss to attend athletic events. You need a good pair of running shoes to prevent injury, a water bottle, hat or sunscreen is recommended and wear comfortable, athletic clothing.

For: 6th, 7th and 8th graders. This is a no-cut sport – ALL students can participate. Physical needed and all district paperwork needed to be completed before the first official practice. Not required for preseason.

Head Coach: Faith Jessup-Scott, fjessupscott@psdschools.org

Tennis

Tennis is a cut sport open to all 6th, 7th and 8th graders. Lincoln’s program is growing in both popularity and skill. In 2023-24 we finished 3rd in the district with several district champions. We practice at our home courts right here at Lincoln.

Tennis is another great social sport with a unique vibe. Players have a blast having fun, blasting music, creating lasting friendships, and competing at a high level.

Volleyball

Volleyball is one of our fastest growing sports. It is a cut sport with 4 teams: Varsity, JV, C1 & C2, so there are plenty of opportunities for players of all abilities. We offer a volleyball club as well that plays in competitive travel tournaments.

Boy's Soccer

The team is open to 7th and 8th graders.
