Teaching students a different way to see the world and themselves through art is my passion. I have taught at Lincoln since 2002, developing an art program that is challenging, fun and always evolving. I have my B.F.A. in ceramics and drawing from The University of Southern Maine as well as my M.A. in Art Education from Purdue University. I landed at CSU to complete my teacher prep work and put down roots. As an artist I love learning about new artists and techniques and sharing those with students. I create art when I can, focusing on drawing and collage with a variety of materials. I like to keep my hands busy and also enjoy gardening, cooking, sewing and other DIY projects. Living in northern Colorado is amazing and my family and I enjoy so many activities out our backdoor, such as biking, hiking, kayaking, camping, skiing and visiting our family cabins in Pingree Park. I am a people person and strive to build strong positive relationships with those I meet, especially my Lincoln students.
