Colorado Promotes Achievement, Character & Kindness, is program focused on kids’ math & reading growth, developing their perseverance & resiliency, and guide them in giving back philanthropically & through service-learning. COPACK utilizes individualized literacy and math instruction with progress monitoring and provides explicit character education, peer tutoring, leadership and outdoor service-learning opportunities, added transition activities to students’ feeder high school, and an environment for building positive, meaningful and healthy relationships amongst teens and adults. COPACK challenges members to explore new environments with diverse peers, including backpacking in Yellowstone, canyoneering in Southern Utah, learning to ski for the 1st time and participating in Give Next, L.I.T. (Lead. It’s time - a group focused on growth in highly at-risk kids), HABIC and/or service-learning projects and specific character building opportunities.
