Sources of Strength
Sources of Strength is a group of diverse students and adults from many different corners and cultures of our school and community. We believe life has ups and downs, that all of us go through good times and tough times. Our mission is to ensure that during the rough times no one gets so overwhelmed or hopeless that they want to give up. Our mission is to spread hope, health, and strength into every corner of our community. This is an enrichment opportunity with meetings during advisory times and events held throughout the school year. Members are nominated by staff and peers.

The Lincoln middle school running club was started last year with the help of some cross country/track and field parents (Robert Garner, Shannon McGinnis, and Rebecca McCorkel) as well as Coach Brennan, Hallett, and Fitzgerald. Year one was very successful with over 20 participants. Livia Garner (6th grader) led the way with over 75 miles. 6th graders Evan Donahue, Navin Ranweiler, Maggie Block, Jacqueline Wilson, and Gabe Woodard made the 50-mile club along with 7th grader Elyse McGinnis and 8th graders Cole McGinnis and Autumn McCorkel. 7th grader Marlie Clark and 6th grader Riley Juniper made the 25- mile club. The running club is for all Lincoln students. Walking, jogging, and running distances range from .9-mile to 3.75-mile routes.
