About Me
Biographical Sketch:

I am the youngest of 8 children and have 5 brothers and 2 sisters. Love my big family! I was born in upstate NY, but moved to Colorado when I was 6 years old!  I am a product of Poudre School District, going to Bauder, Blevins, and Rocky Mountain High Schools.  I then continued on at CSU where after a little break to do some traveling I graduated and... went on to do some more traveling for a couple years.  I lived in Ireland for almost a year, traveled to Japan, Australia, New Zealand and have also taken the opportunity to travel to Tanzania and Zambia in Africa.

Educational Background:

As stated above, went to PSD schools, then CSU where I earned a Bachelors degree in Human Development and Family Studies and a minor in Psychology. I also have a Masters Degree in Reading from the University of Northern Colorado.

Why I enjoy teaching:

Kids!  Plan and simple, I LOVE being around kids and learning from them and trying to help students find their passions and understand themselves and their world as they move through teen years!

Favorite Books:

Green Eggs and Ham - because it was the first book I FINALLY learned to read!!  Oh, The Places You'll Go! because Dr. Seuss is GENIUS!  I enjoy more non-fiction than fiction usually reading autobiographies; books like Eat, Pray, Love or Outliers or anything by Brene Brown, but I do love a good fiction novel to escape or historical fiction- Secret Life of Bees or All the Darkness you Cannot See.

Interest & Hobbies:

I LOVE any time with my family and/ or my dog.  Hiking and biking are great adventures; but for myself, I LOVE hockey!!  Yes, Ice hockey!  I play on a coed and a womens team.

What I like most about my school:

The diversity and caring for others!

My Classroom
Courses Taught:

About My Classroom:
