About Me
Biographical Sketch:

I grew up in California and moved to Colorado with my husband and our daughters. I miss the Pacific Ocean, but love the rugged beauty of the Rocky Mountains.

Educational Background:

They say there is a special place in heaven for those who work in Middle School and I sure hope so because I love this age! I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Biology which makes it quite fascinating for me to see this age group walking around and growing into amazing people, right here in our building. I am also fluent in Spanish and relish every opportunity to speak with and learn from our students in our Newcomer Program, as well as the many lovely families in our community.

Favorite Books:

Readers are leaders! I have been saying this to my own girls for years and now the students at Lincoln get to hear me say this. Reading is a passion of mine and some of my favorites are: Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet, Are You There God, It's Me Margaret, My Beloved World, The Help, Love Does and What the Moon Saw. Let me know some of yours. I'm always curious to hear about what you are reading.

Interest & Hobbies:

My greatest blessing is my family and I love spending my free time with them. When the weather warms up, my favorite thing to do is spend our days by the pool and nights at the drive-in. I also love being creative and often I am knitting or sewing a new project.

What I like most about my school:

Lincoln is a great place to be! The staff strives to create a safe and nurturing environment with the hope that our students will thrive during this stage of their education. It thrills me to no end to be a part of this time of their lives.

Favorite Quote:

I have a few posted at my desk for the kids to read and one of my favorites is, "Have big dreams. You will grow into them." I want the very best life has to offer these kids. No selling themselves short.
