I was born on July 21st in Waukesha, Wisconsin. I lived there with my parents, my older brother, and my younger sister for about six years before moving to Palatine, Illinois where I went to elementary school and middle school. After my 8th grade year my family moved again to Broomfield, Colorado where I stayed for high school and my college years at Colorado State University (Go Rams!!!!)!
I graduated from Colorado State University in 2013 and moved to Scottsbluff, Nebraska where I taught 6th grade for three years! Afterwards, I moved back west to teach in Poudre School District where I have been for two years (this will be my third year at LMS).
I love forming connections with my students and getting to know them on a personal level. Nothing is more exciting that seeing a student's eyes light up when they feel like they have succeeded in something, both inside and outside the classroom.
"The Stand" by Stephen King
"The Unbearable Lightness of Being" by Milan Kundera
"Watchmen" by Alan Moore
"A Song of Fire and Ice" series by George R. R. Martin
"The Dark Tower" series by Stephen King
"The Sparrow" by Mary Doria Russell
In my free time I listen to lots of music (stay tuned for my favorite albums of this year), I write (I’m looking for a publisher for my novel), and I read. When I'm not in school you can often find me lounging around Horsetooth Reservoir or the Poudre, hiking trails, or throwing Frisbee on a Frolf course.

"Sorni Nai" Kauan

"Hand. Cannot. Erase: Steven Wilson
"Good Kid. m.a.a.d. City" Kendrick Lamar
My favorite thing about Lincoln Middle School is the strong community we as a staff and students have. Students enjoy coming to school because they know that the staff care about their education and their individual lives.
"The most important things are the hardest things to say. They are the things you get ashamed of because words diminish your feelings - words shrink things that seem timeless when they are in your head to no more than living size when they are brought out"- Stephen King
"You can't be afraid your whole life"- Zach Berger
8th Grade Language Arts
Track and Field (Throwing Coach)
My classroom is a safe place for students to expand their understanding of Language Arts and their own progression as human beings. My goal for my students is that they leave at the end of the school year feeling confident in their reading and writing abilities, and that they have a deeper love for themselves and this community.
