About Me
Biographical Sketch:

I grew up in Fort Collins and am a PSD graduate - I am so excited to be teaching in my home district!  I love living next to the mountains, spending time in the Colorado outdoors, and hanging out with my cool cat named Rey.

Educational Background:

I am a proud PSD graduate and completed the IB program at Poudre High School.  I attended Bowdoin College in Brunswick, ME and received my BA in Anthropology and Chemistry.  After returning to Fort Collins and working for a local non-profit, I realized my passion for teaching and received my M.Ed from CSU.  I have experience teaching in St Vrain Valley School District and am thrilled to now be at Lincoln!

Why I enjoy teaching:

I love exploring the natural world and helping students discover the magic in everyday events and processes. I love the Colorado outdoors - hiking, biking, camping, anything outside!  I also enjoy cooking, reading, and finding great new tv series. I get excited about discovery in the science classroom and the realization that the smallest questions can lead to the greatest investigations.

Favorite Books:

I love historical and science fiction and can spend many happy hours curled up with a book.  Some favorites are the Harry Potter series, anything by Michael Crichton, and exploring the Here and Now section at the library.

Interest & Hobbies:

I love living in beautiful Colorado and being outdoors!  On weekends you can usually find me out hiking or biking.

What I like most about my school:

I am so proud to be part of the caring community at Lincoln and always learning from the amazing teachers around me.

Favorite Quote:

"Those who dwell among the beauties and mysteries of the earth are never alone or weary of life." - Rachel Carson

My Classroom
Courses Taught:

I teach 7th and 8th grade Science.  I am also very excited to be teaching and coaching Lincoln's Science Olympiad team!

About My Classroom:

My goal is to create a space where we are all excited to learn and feel supported being ourselves.  We will explore the world around us through inquiry, individual investigation, and collaborative experiments.
