Quite simply, I am living my dream. Through a journey at Colorado State University, I earned a bachelor’s in English Education and consequently uncovered my life’s calling: working with middle school students - seriously. During my undergrad, I dabbled in several trades, including spending time as a sports reporter, newspaper columnist, basketball coach, on-air radio sports analyst, civil engineering surveyor and a few others.
A natural wanderer, I crave traveling and learning. I love canyoneering in southern Utah, free diving with sharks in Bora Bora, kayaking with seals in British Columbia, deep sea fishing in the Gulf of Mexico, body surfing in Cabo, snorkeling in Hawaii, training at Space Camp in Alabama, reading Clive Cussler, and best of all, spending time with my family.
At 38, I'm kept busy by my five kids. My sons Aiden, Madden, and Cannon are engineers or wide receivers in the making, and you can’t miss my ballerina, Jordan, and bballer, Jersey. I also have a gorgeous wife, Sandra, who runs a brand management firm and a deliciously awesome food & travel website: www.adashofsanity.com. With her support, I earned an M.Ed. in Educational Leadership at CSU, an M.Ed. in Technology in 2013 and am currently working my third master’s in cultural and linguistic diversity from CU.
I’ve coached, taught or been in admin for over 20 years, the last 11 of them here at Lincoln. And whether it is serving with kids in the community, hitting the hardwood with my students, leading kids through slot canyons or simply sharing as many high fives and smiles as I can in the hall, I love education, and more importantly… I love my students at Lincoln.

"If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together."
I want our classrooms to be safe and fun environments where growth, perseverance, achievement, character and kindness are paramount. I have seven basic rules everyone who walks through my door is expected to know and follow: 1 - Be honest; 2 - Be selfless; 3 - Be in the moment; 4 - Don't settle; 5 - Take responsibility; 6 - Adapt and persevere; and 7 - If all else fails, know that Mr. Mac loves you.
