Mr. A is the 6th grade counselor and has served as a counselor since 2008 working with students grades 6-12. He specializes in providing extra support to individuals and families who need it most. He collaborates daily with parents and teachers to help students be successful in the classroom and to learn the important character traits of a successful and healthy IB student. He has a super big heart, a silly sense of humor, and believes that everybody on this earth is here for a very good reason - and that, of course, includes every student here at Lincoln! Mr. A believes in every student's vast potential and will always do whatever he can to help. He lives in Loveland with his wife, son, daughter and their 2 cats, Tobey and Tyler. If you're still reading this bio, he thought you might want to know his cat's names. They have many nicknames, but has chosen not to include pet nicknames in his bio. His office is in Student Services, first door on the left. He can be reached at email@example.com or 488-5710.
Mr. A graduated with a degree in Psychology from Ohio University and has a Master's Degree in School Counseling from the University of Phoenix.
I love school counseling because I believe that, by challenging kids to be positive leaders in our communities, the world can be a better place. I really enjoy helping kids with any and all issues, advocating for student success, and teaching kids the skills they need to advocate for themselves and become successful students and good people. Working with kids is fun - I wouldn't want any other job on this planet! And, I get to work with amazing counselors, administrators, and teachers here at Lincoln Middle School. Who could ask for more?
The Innocent Man, Hunger Games, Ender's Game, To Kill a Mockingbird, Holes, Percy Jackson and any books that provide inspiration, hope, or make me think or laugh.
Mr. A loves bike-riding, running, golfing, fishing, camping, tennis, basketball and football. He loves the Broncos, the Buckeyes and the Rams. He also enjoys the comedic styling of Jim Gaffigan, Will Ferrell, Jim Carrey and Jimmy Fallon and enjoys making people laugh.
What I like most about Lincoln is the incredible diversity of students and staff. At Lincoln, diversity is not something to be tolerated but celebrated! I like the way students really find themselves here and discover so much about themselves and the world. I also love the staff at Lincoln who care so much and who are great teachers and role models.
