I am an East Coaster originally. I grew up in a small town in western New York. After college I moved to the beautiful Green Mountains to hike, ride and play in the snow. I earned my graduate degree in teaching Special Education at the University there and luckily got a job immediately in South Burlington. I was led to Colorado by my husband and taught in St. Vrain for a year before we moved to Raleigh, North Carolina. We enjoyed the Southern hospitality and sweet tea , but when he was given the opportunity to coach at Colorado State University we knew this would be a wonderful place to raise a family. Now, my family is happy hiking, riding, playing in the snow here in Colorado. I have two kids, Gabriel a 6th grade Lancer and Ellie, a 2nd grader and a 4 legged child, Houston.
I began teaching at Lincoln Middle School in 2012 and love it! The kids and staff are wonderful!!

Master's in Education in Intensive Special Education/ Consulting Teacher from University of Vermont, 1999
I love teaching because it is always exciting! I work primarily with children who struggle with learning for a variety of reasons. Getting a kid to learn how to read, how to advocate for themselves, how to write a poem is a pretty spectacular thing! Having them feel good about their learning and their future is my goal! Lincoln is a special place with kind and creative staff and awesome kids.

I have a dog theme going on.
As most Fort Collins residents, I love to run, hike and bike outside!
I also love to read, listen to music and cook! Which is weird since I didn't eat much besides oatmeal and gum until I got married.
These are my favorite two:
"Life is tough, but so are you!"
"Not all who wander are lost!"
