I was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and moved to Fort Collins as an 18 year old freshman and attended Colorado State University. While there, I received a partial scholarship from my department head and graduated cum laude four years later with a degree in Health and Exercise Science. I also earned a master's degree from the University of Northern Colorado in 2007. Prior to teaching at Lincoln, I taught PE at O'Dea Elementary School in Fort Collins for 9 gratifying years. In addition to teaching PE, I am also the boys soccer coach at Lincoln. I have been married to my wife Karyn since 2005 and my sons, Kanyon and Dylan, were born in 2007 and 2008 respectively. You can find my family on the trails of Fort Collins, in the mountains of Colorado, or at home playing a whole variety of games! As a family, we make it a point to stay as active as we can. I love to travel and enjoy seeking out adventures...no matter how big or small. After graduating college, I traveled extensively throughout Central America. During one of my visits to the region, my wife Karyn and I had the pleasure of living with a Honduran family in Tegucigalpa for three weeks. Some of my Central American highlights included the sun-splashed beaches of Mexico, the highlands of Belize, Semuc Champey in Guatemala, the excitement of El Salvador, and everything that Costa Rica had to offer. I have also visited 44 of the 50 states including a 12,000 mile summer road trip to Alaska. I love being part of the Lancer community!

I enjoy teaching because of the daily interaction with the wide variety of students we serve. Spending all day in a gymnasium is a dream come true!

I love the energy that our students bring on a daily basis! I enjoy the diversity of our student body and the family connections that exist within our school. I also like our school is willing to do whatever it takes to serve our students in the best way possible.
