I have been a math teacher at Lincoln since 2010, teaching geometry, 8th grade math and 7/8 math. I am a native of Colorado, graduating from Littleton High School, and CSU. I have four sons ranging in age from 19 to 14 years old and my husband Gregg recently retired from Rocky Mountain High School after 28 years as a guidance counselor. We have a dog and a cat and as many pets as her boys can sneak into the house! I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, and pursued a career as a molecular biologist for 9 years before returning to school to become a science teacher. I taught science and coached soccer and gymnastics at Rocky Mountain High School for 11 years. I took off 4 years after adopting our sons, and became certified to teach math. I taught Algebra, Geometry and Algebra 2 for 3 years at Greeley Central High School before accepting the position at Lincoln. I enjoy spending time with my family, playing golf, and reading in my spare time. I love teaching and living at Fort Collins, and am excited about the opportunity to teach here at Lincoln Middle School. I appreciate the diversity of the students that I work with and what love the fact that I can learn from each of them.
Attended Littleton High School in Littleton Colorado Graduated from CSU with a degree in Microbiology Completed graduate classes in Molecular Biology and teacher certification in both science and math.
I think teaching is one of the most rewarding occupations. I can learn as much from my students as they learn from me. I enjoy watching the students change and grow as the year progresses.
I will read almost anything! My favorite thing to do is to check out 5-6 "Here and Now" books from the library, and see if I can get them read before the one week due date.
I teach 8th grade math which would include geometry and 8th grade math I also teach 6th grade 7/8 math.
