I was born and raised in San Jose Costa Rica where I met my husband Dagoberto. We have two daughters Sarah and Sophia who attend the IB program at Poudre High School. I teach Lectoscritura to native Spanish speakers and Spanish Acquisition to 7th and 8th graders here at Lincoln. I am currently obtaining my alternative teacher license K-12 through Centennial BOCES in Greeley.
Graduated from the University of South Florida (USF) in 1994 with a degree in International Studies.
I enjoy helping others grow and sharing my native language.
My go to book is the Bible but I also enjoy education, educational advising, fantasy and self improvement books.
My husband and I enjoy working in home improvement and construction. I have a lot of fun doing the interior design of the homes we renovate or build.
The warmth, love and energy of the school given by every single person that works here. The opportunity to serve and love the students that attend our school.
"Everything is possible for one who believes"
I teach Spanish Acquisition 1 and 2. I also teach Lectoescritura to native Spanish speakers.
The focus of my class is to have the students read as much as possible at a level they can understand. I also have the students read aloud so I can correct pronunciation. I speak as much as I can in Spanish so they get to hear how to pronounce and learn new vocabulary. We have a fun unit on the Day of the Dead and La Llorona where the students get to be artistic.
