About Me
Biographical Sketch:

My name is Amanda Hallett, and I am one of the Spanish Language Acquisition teachers and Assistant Cross Country Coaches here at Lincoln Middle School.

I grew up in Salida, Colorado with my parents and younger brother and sister. I am absolutely thrilled to have the opportunity to teach and coach in Fort Collins, as it reminds me of home! I live here now with my boyfriend of 8 years, Cody. I graduated from Salida High School in 2010 and attended my first year of college at Fort Lewis College, where I explored career paths and transferred to Greeley after realizing my love for teaching! It was through traveling and the exposure to the Spanish language and culture, that I decided to combine my passions and study to be a Spanish teacher. It gives me the opportunity to share my passion with kids in hopes of them developing their own appreciations for diversity, culture, and multilingualism. I graduated in 2016 from the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley (Go Bears!!!) with a Bachelor's degree in Spanish with an emphasis in K-12 education. This is my second official year teaching, and I could not be more excited to be doing so at Lincoln! Go Lancers!!!

It's going to be a great year!

¡Muchísimas gracias!

About My Classroom:

The Spanish acquisition program here at Lincoln uses the Comprehensible Input curriculum. It is a bit different of an approach than most of us had during our school careers.
