I have been working with Integrated Services at Lincoln since 2017. I earned my B.S. in Psychology with an emphasis in mental health from Western Illinois University. After spending many years working as a social worker in the state of Indiana, I moved to Colorado to be closer to my family. My childhood was spent in Germany and I have lived in many places. I know what it is like to start new schools and how difficult transitions can be when you are new or different. This gave me a passion for advocating and supporting students of all abilities. Connections with students and making them feel valued and safe are my priorities.
As a parent of two amazing teenage boys who grew up attending Poudre Schools, I understand the importance of advocating and have seen first hand the dedication of Integrated Services teachers and staff. My youngest son attended Lincoln and is now a sophomore at Poudre High School. He thrived at Lincoln with the support of our amazing staff who nurtured his love of math, writing, and travel while supporting his IEP and medical needs. I could not have chosen a better school for him to attend. My oldest recently graduated from Centennial High School. He has a passion for electronic repairs and recently started his own business restoring and repairing gaming systems while attending college part time.
While not in school, I enjoy spending time with my family and our pets. We have a one-eyed Flat Coated Retriever named Sally and two cats, Mochi and Sushi. My hobbies include hiking, camping, traveling, cycling, writing, and singing along with musicals.
