My name is Ms. Wren! This is my 9th year teaching at Lincoln- I absolutely love it here! Since being here, I've taught 8th grade, 7th grade, and Newcomer Science, as well as Yearbook and Global Leadership. Some of what I enjoy most about teaching is being able to see kids outside the classroom too; I am the Director of COPACK and I have coached volleyball here for seven of the years I've been here. I love watching kids try things that are hard for them by stretching their comfort zones, and being willing to persevere when things get tough for them. There is no greater joy than watching students gain confidence around navigating obstacles. That, and when former students visit with updates about their life beyond middle school!
At Lincoln, students know me for my very pink colored classroom, and for the supremely nerdy + punny science shirts I wear frequently. I'm always up for a good chemistry joke... problem is, most of them Argon!
In my spare time, I love to be outside. Basically, I photosynthesize because I get my energy from the sun! I love hiking, camping, backpacking, and hanging with my puppy. My other passion is traveling- I love to see the world! It energizes me to learn about new cultures and history, and of course I love trying the local cuisine! If I'm not outside or traveling, I'm either doing crossfit or sitting on my deck with a good cup of coffee. :)
Feel free to reach out if you need anything or just want to say hey! :)
