Poudre School District Unified Sports is a program in which students with and without intellectual disabilities participate in inclusive school sports. Our mission is for students with or without disabilities to realize meaningful outcomes in an inclusive and collaborative environment. We are proud in Integrated Services to partner with PSD athletics and Special Olympics Colorado Project Unify to provide the opportunity for students to participate in Unified Sports in Poudre School District. At our four comprehensive high schools, students may apply and try-out for fall flag football, fall cheerleading, winter basketball, winter cheerleading, and spring soccer. Starting spring of 2019 the following middle schools will be offering basketball; Blevins, Boltz, Kinard, Lesher, Lincoln, and Webber. Our PSD Unified Programs have won the CSU Cesar Chavez Award twice for our work with inclusive practices. We believe that Unified Sports brings a change of perspectives, enhances relationships, boosts acceptance, creates lifelong relationships and success, and connects students to the school community. We have over 150 students participating in our Unified Sports Programs in PSD. Thank you for supporting our mission of inclusion, fostering acceptance, respect, dignity, and advocacy for people with disabilities in PSD!
